During our month of love, I thought it appropriate to shout out some of my clients that are doing amazing things in the community. One of these clients is VenturePad, an innovative company with an idea that?s revolutionizing the way we will work in the future. I’ve been so excited to tell you how I’ve teamed up with them to make a real difference in our community. As a founding member of the VenturePad team, I’ve worked hard alongside a brilliant team to provide a coworking space for the community that provides a supportive service to many thousands of workers while also serving as a model for the next generation. Along with Founder and President, Chris Yalonis, and VP of Marketing and Co-founder, Alejandro Moreno, we’ve launched a coworking community space and business incubator that gives thousands of solopreneurs, freelancers, self-employed entrepreneurs, corporate telecommuters and temps a place to come together to share, work and learn. Let?s check out what we’ve been working on:

The Idea

In Marin County, there are 39,000 employees that report working from home either part-time or full-time. That?s a lot of people that spend their days alone or in an over-crowded coffee shop. Because in San Rafael, Marin and North Bay, office spaces can run anywhere between $2000 and $3000 a month, VenturePad wanted to offer an affordable and accessible alternative to the community. Also on our minds were the thousands of commuters from San Francisco, Sonoma, East Bay and Silicon Valley that would much prefer to work closer to home. VenturePad decided to change the game by giving people a space where they could come together to work without isolation and surrounded by counterparts that could spice their creativity and keep them free of distractions.

The Space?

VenturePad is set to open on March 1st and will contain 4,000 square feet of space that includes designated areas for collaboration, open and reserved desk spaces, large meeting rooms for conferences and a caf?. Pretty cool, right? Even better is that it?s located in downtown San Rafael, a banking and business hub that?s a quick drive for Marin?s many at-home workers and the perfect spot to experience exquisite dining and entertainment.

Forming Community

As if the VenturePad idea isn?t awesome enough on its own, we will also provide weekly classes, workshops and events, like mixers and social get-togethers. There?s even a dedicated ?C-Suite Team? that?s on-site to offer specialized training in areas like website design, digital branding, product phototyping and sales. It?s really an incredible venture and service for blooming entrepreneurs and I’m so happy to be a part of it.

Get In On The Fun

There will also be a Grand Opening Party on March 9th from 5 to 7 p.m. in partnership with San Rafael Chamber of Commerce that features light music and hor d’oeuvres and visits from Mayor Phillips and other elected officials.
